Connect Whoop for recovery data
Whoop joins Oura as a connected recovery source. Connect it once and your sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and Readiness score fill in each day.
Reading your training next to your recovery only works if the recovery data is actually there. Whoop now connects too.
Whoop connects the same way Oura does. Your sleep, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate arrive each day on their own, and Whoop's recovery score becomes the Readiness figure on your Context page.
Some people wear both — a ring at night, a band for everything else. Connect both and a new question appears on the Context page: which one should we trust?
Sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and your recovery score for a given day all come from the one you pick. The other fills in the nights the first didn't record — travel, charging, forgot to wear it. What it never does is split a day between them.
That's deliberate. A recovery score explained by an HRV reading a different device took on a different wrist is a number you can't do anything with, and you'd have no way to know that's what you were looking at. So it's one choice, not one per metric.
As always: we show the sample size and frame patterns as questions, never as proof. Your recovery data stays private to you, even from a coach, unless you choose to share it.
